I started writing an end-of-the-year blog post in 2016 , to reflect on highlights and other notable memories/events from the year. With the exception of 2018 and 2021 when I was traveling, I have kept up this tradition through a chronological list of 10 highlights at the end of each year (some of which are multiple events lumped into one category).
